Yankton Resident Turns Part-time Hobby Into Business.

 

For Yankton Resident John Huisman, the saying "To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe." It is a saying that he believes in to this very day. His journey to develop his business card printing enterprise began in September of 2007 after a conversation he had with the late Douglas Kettering about purchasing his own computer. In January of 2008, he succesfully launched his printing business with his first card order from Great Shapes & Styles. It was there that he came to the conclusion that he needed a Sales Tax License - for which he applied in Feburary of 2008. After his application for a Sales tax license came, he continued on his journey very successfully by adding new customers as he walk throughout the community of Yankton. His spirit of enthusiam as well as his desire to help others as well as himself succeed is a guiding force in his continuing development of his enterprise. As weather premits, John meets with those who have a order for him to fulfill. He says, "I really enjoy meeting with anybody in the Yankton communtiy to assist them with their printing needs." Over the past 8 years in business, he has had a number of repeat orders from satisfied customers and continues to this very day seeking new orders by pounding the phone or by using his facebook page or uploading his most recent designs on his website.
